Stanly County Arts Council reveals schedule for ‘Celebration of the ARTS!’

The performance schedule for the Celebration of the Arts, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, has been announced.
Performances will take place in the auditorium and lobby of the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, 26032 Newt Road, Albemarle.
9-9:20 a.m. — Melissa Kathleen’s School of Dance — Auditorium.
9:30-9:45 a.m. — West Stanly Players — Lobby, directed by Wes Tucker.
10-10:25 a.m. — Millingport Singers/Endy Voices — directed by Jordan Owen, and the Central Elementary Quarter Notes, directed by Regan Eudy — Auditorium.
10:30-10:50 a.m. — Music on Main’s Bunch of Misfits Band — Lobby, directed by Tim Harris.
11-11:30 a.m. — Stanly County Chorale — Auditorium, directed by Lisa Ewers.
11:30-11:50 a.m. — Music on Main’s soloists — Lobby.
12-12:20 p.m. — West Stanly High School Soloists and Ensembles — Auditorium, directed by Ariel Jones.
12:30-12:45 p.m. — Ron’s Pickin’ Parlor Students — Lobby, with Butch Hathcock – guitarist.
1-1:25 p.m. — Stanly County Concert Band — Auditorium, directed by Frank Poolos, Tim Hedrick, and Carmella Hedrick.
1:45-2:00 p.m. — 2025 Awards Ceremony, Lobby. This includes the Artist Support Grant Recipient 2025, Fine Arts Educator of the Year Award 2025 and Arts Person of the Year Award 2025.
The Stanly County Arts Council’s seventh annual “Celebration of the ARTS!” is a free event that is open to the public, showcasing the best of the arts in Stanly County with live performances, information booths from area arts organizations and art-based businesses, art demonstrations, an exhibition of student art from Stanly County schools, elementary through high school, Carolina Christian, Gray Stone Day School and Stanly Community College, plus an opportunity to purchase art from local artists.
Creation Station returns with a place where kids can create their own art to take home.
Purchase raffle tickets to win concert tickets, art and more.
The Local Author Table is back, a place to meet and purchase books from over nine Stanly County authors.
