Albemarle’s Baldwin named to Carolinas Classic All-Star Game roster

The all-time leading scorer in Stanly County basketball history has received a state-level honor.

Albemarle senior guard Amari Baldwin has been named to the roster of the 2025 North Carolina Coaches Association All-Star Game.

This year’s game will be at Hoggard High School in Wilmington March 22.

Baldwin completed her Albemarle career on Friday in a loss at Cherokee in the playoffs.
Leading Albemarle (25-5) with 32 points, she finishes with 2,446 career points.

Charles Curcio has served as the sports editor of the Stanly News & Press since 2008 and has written numerous news and feature stories as well. He was awarded the NCHSAA Tim Stevens Media Representative of the Year and named CNHI Sports Editor of the Year in 2014. He has also won awards from Boone Newspapers, and has won four North Carolina Press Association awards.
