Forest Hills has been a power in local area men’s basketball for a number of years including a 2A state title in 2018.

Last Thursday, however, North Stanly came within a hair’s breath of posting a non-conference win over the Yellow Jackets, falling at home by one point, 41-40.

Dyson Bell led the Comets (0-2) with 16 points scoring all six of North’s points in the fourth quarter.

Zack Barbour paced the Jackets (2-0) with 17 points.

North Stanly opens Yadkin Valley Conference play tonight at North Rowan (0-1).
