Gray Stone women, North men win initial YVC cross-country meet

In one of the opening Yadkin Valley Conference cross-country meets of the season, four schools in Stanly County took to the Chuck Morehead Park course Aug. 28.
The Gray Stone women earned first place by just nine points over North Stanly, with South Stanly finishing third.
On the men’s side, North took four of the first five spots to finish in first place. South Stanly placed second, with Gray Stone in third.
