The NCHSAA released the football playoff brackets on Saturday afternoon with all four Stanly teams qualifying for the postseason.

1AA Football

For just the second time in the history two Stanly teams will face each other in the playoffs.

No. 7 North Stanly (6-5) hosts No. 10 South Stanly (5-6) in the first round. The two teams played Friday night with the Comets winning at South, 43-13.

The only other time two Stanly teams played in the playoffs were 2006 when South Stanly beat Albemarle 12-6.

1A Football

The Bulldogs (4-7) are a No. 11 seed and will travel into the mountains to take on No. 6 Hayesville (7-4).

2A Football

The Colts (8-2) will be at home Friday night as the No. 8 seed and will host ninth-seeded Owen (6-4).
