Norwood residents face multiple sexual abuse charges

The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested and charged two Norwood residents on various felony and misdemeanor charges regarding sexual offenses.

According to a release, the Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation May 21-25, resulting in the arrest of Patrick David Jones, 34, of 40418 Old Cottonville Road, Norwood, and Jessica Harwood Jones, 33.

Patrick Jones was charged with the following:

  • 5 counts of felony conspiracy
  • 1 count of felony child abuse involving a sexual act
  • 1 count of felony crime against nature
  • 1 count of misdemeanor sexual battery
  • 1 count felony second degree forcible sex offense

Jessica Jones was charged with:

  • 1 count of felony incest with a child 13, 14, 15 years of age
  • 1 count of felony crime against nature
  • 1 count of felony child abuse involving a sexual act
  • 1 count of statutory rape of a child less than or equal to 15 years of age
  • 1 count of statutory sex offense with a child less than or equal to 15 years of age
  • 1 count of second degree forcible sex offense  
  • 1 count of felony conspiracy.

Jessica Jones received a $510,000 secured bond and Patrick Jones got a $450,000 secured bond.
