State, Senior Services seek info on internet, computer usage

Stanly County Senior Services is seeking feedback and it only takes individuals 10 minutes to help.

North Carolina has put out a survey for the N.C. Digital Equity Plan, explains Alexa Sells, program coordinator at the Stanly County Senior Center.

The survey includes questions about home and mobile internet use, internet capabilities and demographic information.

Visit https://ncsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9EpNXtAhUn7IOQS to complete the survey.

The survey will also be available through computers at the Senior Center 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 10.

“This survey helps the Senior Center by allowing seniors voices to be heard by North Carolina,” Sells said. “It is a way they can advocate for themselves and others. This survey has many questions about your internet and mobile devices (how comfortable you are with them, how affordable is the service, etc.).”

While anyone of any age can take the survey, Sells asks that she be emailed at asells@stanlycountync.gov to keep track of response totals.

The survey must be completed by Aug. 18.
