Today is Limb and Brush pickup day. Debris must be at the street before 8 a.m. otherwise, please wait for next month’s pickup, which is scheduled for March 1.

Town Council will meet Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Badin Conference Center. Visitors are welcome to come and observe.

Library

The library will resume storytime for children this month on the second and fourth Tuesday, Feb. 8 and 22 at 10:30 a.m. Call Branch Manager Treva Allmon with any questions, 704-422-3218.

Adults are invited for crafting and fellowship on Feb. 15 at 10:30 a.m. There’s a $2 supply fee.

Palestine UMC

Palestine Pals meets Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m. at Rosebriar Restaurant in Albemarle.

Sunday school is at 10 a.m. and worship service is at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Morrow Mountain

A Valentine crafting event is planned for Feb. 12 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Park Lodge. Come make something for someone special. Snacks will be provided. Call 704-982-4402 for more information.

Better Badin

The next regular meeting of Better Badin, Inc. is Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Loafers and Legends on Falls Road. This non-profit organization works to enhance Badin community life and always needs volunteers. Everyone is invited to come and discover how to contribute to this shared mission.

Badin Elementary

“Spirit Night” at Chick-fil-A in Albemarle is planned for Feb. 17 from 5-8 p.m. Please let the attendant know before placing an order so Badin Elementary will receive a percentage of the sale.

The school is sponsoring a OneBlood blood drive on Feb. 18 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Look for the Big Red Bus parked at the school. Donors will receive a free T-shirt and a $20 gift card.
