Students, parents enjoy ‘Knights Under the Stars’ at Gray Stone

Hundreds of students, staff, faculty, parents and community members filled the Gray Stone Day School campus at the inaugural “Knights Under the Stars” family movie night on Oct. 27.

Student clubs and organizations bedazzled everyone with their creativity for the trunk or treating experience for children. Decorated themed cars included the Circus, Noah’s Ark, Candyland and Pac-Man. Trunks were filled with candy as children lined up one by one searching for treats. The event was hosted by the parent organization The Lance.

In addition to trunk or treating, guests enjoyed treats from a variety of food truck vendors. The weather provided the perfect outdoor setting to feature Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” movie under the stars.

“I am so excited this inaugural event for our Gray Stone families was such a huge success. I want to personally thank the Gray Stone administration, custodial staff and parent volunteers for making this a memorable night for all to fellowship and enjoy. We are excited to continue providing these events and activities for our school community,” added Kristin Losh, parent volunteer and vice president of The Lance.

The Student Advisory Council won the best designed trunk or treat contest. A prize gift basket donated by The Lance was awarded to the council’s Candyland designed trunk.

The student advisory council consists of Anthony Decuir, Saylor Vitale, Dominic Strohecker, Daleiah Waters, Addyson Carter, Kaitlyn Losh, Nathan Marcoccia, Anthony Varbanov, Julian Bolin Santiago, Lilly Dangerfield, Viktor Stiller, Lilly Todd, Morgan Deaton and Amy Gonzalez-Hernandez.
