Singing Americans of Stanly County to begin rehearsals for 2023 season

The North Carolina Singing Americans of Stanly County will begin rehearsals for the 2023 Patriotic Concert Season at 6:30 p.m. April 17 at Grace Baptist Church, 644 Edgemont St., Albemarle.

Bob Remsburg will direct the Singing Americans for the performances scheduled and invites all returning members and individuals who would like to join the Singing Americans to attend this first rehearsal.

At this first rehearsal, members will listen to the music selected from “I Love This Land,” created by Russell Mauldin and Sue C. Smith, and “Sing America’s Song,” arranged and orchestrated by Marty Parks.

Members are encouraged to bring books previously purchased to the rehearsals. Music books will be available for new members.

The Singing Americans will rehearse the patriotic musical selections arranged for a narrator and choir with a split-track accompaniment DVD. Auditions are not required, but members will rehearse in sections assigned by the director.

Members pay their own expenses and support the needs of the organization through fund raising events as often as needed. Donations and sponsorships are appreciated throughout the year.

The Singing Americans of Stanly County is an organization composed of
singers who love God and country. The group has been active in the community performing Christmas, Easter and patriotic performances since 1976.
