Charlotte Pipe and Foundry elects new CEO
As the new plant for Charlotte Pipe and Foundry approaches completion, the new foundry in Oakboro will have a new CEO.
According to a report published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, Hooper Hardison has succeeded Roddey Dowd Jr. as CEO of the company.
Hardison has been an employee of Charlotte Pipe since 1988 “and has held a variety of sales and management positions with the company over more than three decades of service.”
Dowd Jr. had been CEO of the company since 2012, and will continue to work with Charlotte Pipe as vice chairman of the board. Frank Dowd IV, who was CEO before Dowd Jr., will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
Also elected as vice presidents, the report said, were Roddey Dowd III, Jenner Wood and Joseph Pantone.
