Board of Elections releases info about Stanfield parking

Voters in the Furr 2 precinct who vote at the Stanfield Elementary School gym on March 5 will have access to additional parking at Pete Henkel Park.

This lot is located two tenths of a mile from the voter entrance at the gym.

Voters are encouraged to use the overflow lot during peak student arrival (8:15 a.m.-9 a.m.) and departure (3:15 p.m. – 4 p.m.) times. School pick-up lines will form to the right of the street, and the left side must be left open for traffic.

Accessible parking and curbside voting are available in the gym parking lot the entire day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Stanly County Board of Elections requests the public’s assistance to ensure safety and access to the voting area as follows:

• Utilize overflow parking at Pete Henkel Park;

• Do not block access to the gym parking lot;

• Do not park on Charlotte street or in other school parking lots;

• Use the designated voter entrance at the gym on Charlotte Street.
