Stanly Community College instructor recognized for helping educators succeed
Stanly Community College instructor Sue Drake was one of two Appalachian State University alumni recently invited to speak at a University event celebrating its sixth consecutive year of having the largest number of National Board Certified Teacher alumni in the nation.
This was Drake’s third year serving as a mentor for the NBCTApps program, which supports educators seeking national certification.
In addition to App State alumni who had achieved National Board Certification, in attendance were Reich College of Education Dean Melba Spooner, App State Chancellor Sheri Everts and Congresswoman Virginia Foxx.
