N.C. Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will temporarily close a section of Caldwell Road in Harrisburg for repairs this weekend, weather permitting.

The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. Saturday until 3 p.m. Sunday to allow for shoulder repair and to remove drift blocking a structure underneath the road, just south of N.C. 49.

A detour will be posted for drivers along N.C. 49, Robinson Church Road and Tom Query Road, returning to Caldwell Road.
