Stanly County Sheriff’s Office arrests 2, seizes drugs

On Aug. 23, the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant for illegal controlled substance sales in the city of Albemarle.
Two search warrants were conducted on Thomas Street which led to a large amount of controlled substance being seized and two individuals arrested.
Upon a search of the two residences, more than 166 grams of methamphetamine and more than 112 grams of cocaine were located. Also found in the home were firearms and multiple items that were deemed as drug paraphernalia, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Khalil Daquez Davis was charged with trafficking by possession of methamphetamine; trafficking by possession of cocaine; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine; maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances; possess controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davis received a secured $400,000 bond.
Marlon Lamonte Davis was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances.
Davis received a secured $50,000 bond.
