Albemarle Police arrest man for concealment of death, search for teen’s remains

Around 4:30 a.m. Friday, officers with the Albemarle Police Department responded to the 2900 block of Floral Drive after receiving a 911 call from a resident stating they needed police assistance.
After an investigation by Albemarle Police and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation, it was determined that Baylee Carver, 17, is presumed to be deceased.
Joshua Biles, 20, has been arrested and charged with felony obstruction and concealment of death.
Biles is currently in custody at the Stanly County Jail.
Albemarle Police, NCSBI and the National Center for Exploited/Missing Children (NCMEC) are working to locate the remains of Carver.
