Gray Stone Day School students won first, second and third during a regional competition that included 32 teams.
Four teams — Black, Green, Camo and Tan, consisting of 21 students in all, competed in rifle, shotgun, archery and hunter knowledge.
There are individual awards in each event and team awards (made of five students) in each event.
For team awards, they add all the individual points together for that event. There is an Overall Best Award for both individuals and as a team where they add scores from all four events together.
For team testing, Black team finished first, with Camo in second and Green in third. Dominic Rinaggio placed second in individual testing, with Brook Lockard in third.
In rifle, the Green team placed second. Xavier Browning finished third in the individual portion.
In archery, the Camo team took third place, with Tristan Restar placing first in the individual competition.
For shotgun, Green finished first and Black captured second. Two students placed in the individual portion, with Carter Evans in first and Jacob Rodgers in third.
Black won first in the overall competition, with Camo and Green following in second and third, respectively. Individually, Brook Lockard took first and Dominic Rinaggio second.
Gray Stone will head to the district competition March 23.
