McDonald Chapel will hold an after Thanksgiving Mini Bazaar beginning at 10 a.m. Nov. 25. The bazaar includes family portraits, Paparazzi jewelry and food. Derek Palmer will schedule sittings every 20 minutes. Call 704-438-3569 to book.

Roslyn Hemphill-Burris is the jewelry consultant and Christy Helms is in charge of the food sale. Event coordinator is Betty Evans. The host pastor is Rev. Lafayette H.C. Thompson.

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church presents “The Centennial Ball” on Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. at Anderson Grove Family Life. The keynote speaker will be Overseer Jakeem Bowman, New Life Fellowship Church, Bennettsville South Carolina.

Performers include The Chosen Disciples, Mitchell Johnson & Rehoboth and Royalty Priesthood & Voices of Life Fellowship Chorale.

Tickets are $60 each, or $50 each for groups of eight or more.
