Max Forrest of Albemarle won the North Carolina state championship for the 2023 50cc 7-8 Stock Class on Aug. 19 in Yadkin County.
He also won two Virginia state championships in the E-bike and 50cc Open 5-9 classes on Aug. 13.

Forrest, a third-grader at Norwood Eleemntary, is the 8-year-old son of Brantley and Elizabeth Forrest.
