McDonald Chapel AME Zion Church McDonald Chapel AME Zion Church will celebrate its 108th anniversary March 17-18. This will also be family and friends day. I will be writing more about this in a future column.
First Baptist Church The church is planning an Old Fashioned Day for 11 a.m. Feb. 25. The church is at 201 Wayne St., Albemarle. Pastor Neal and the FBC family desire to pay homage to history as well as to those who’ve gone before. Folks are encourage to wear old fashioned or African attire. All are invited for Bible study at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the church. Pastor Neal will lead and encourages everyone to come and bring a friend, neighbor or co-worker.
St. Luke Bible Study The St. Luke Bible study conference call will continue every Wednesday. Anyone can join. Instructions are to dial 1-305-848-8888, then press 1. Enter conference room number 666, press # and then press 1. The pastor is Bishop Chenner Smith. The goal is to have 100 listeners each session.
West Badin Alumni Association The West Badin Alumni Association is starting early to prepare you for the semi-annual reunion on the weekend of June 29-July 1. This means in order to plan and make preparations, we would like for your dues to come in before May 15. I will be reminding you from time to time.
