Stanly County Historical Society to host program on U.S. Highway 52

Retired Dr. Eric Johnsen will present a program, Stanly County’s Connection with America: A Maverick Highway, US Route 52,” at 7 p.m. Jan. 30.
The program, highlighting spots along more than 2,000 miles, will be given at the fellowship hall of Central United Methodist Church, 172 N. Second St., Albemarle.
The event is free and hosted by the Stanly County Historical Society.
