Jimmie Delane Cooke, 81, of Albemarle, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Stanly Manor Nursing Home.
He was born August 23, 1937 in Stanly County, NC to the late Joseph Cook and Nellie Underwood Cook.

Jimmie was the owner of Wayside Flower Shop in Albemarle, NC before retiring to Murrells Inlet, SC.
In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Cooke.
Those left to cherish his memory include: brother, Kenneth Aaron Cook; sister, Joanne Cook Kendall; nieces, Karen Baldwin, Kathy Taylor, Kim Cook, and Kristi Bradshaw; and nephew, Chad Kendall.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Donna Efird and the staff of Stanly Manor and Carolinas Healthcare System Hospice for their exceptional love and care during the last years of his life.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 4:00 pm at First Street United Methodist Church, 509 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001, with Pastor Bill Baldwin officiating.
Carolina Cremation of Salisbury and Charlotte is assisting the Cooke family.
