In unofficial results from the Stanly County Board of Elections, Ian C. Focht has been elected mayor of Richfield.

Running unopposed, Focht received 94.21% of the vote (179). There were 11 write-in votes.

For Richfield commissioner, Kevin Almond (52.32%, 169 votes) and Cynthia Heglar (46.75%, 151 votes) were elected. There were three write-in votes. Also elected to an unexpired term was David Harding, who received 167 votes.
