Mack Funderburk Mauldin

Mack Funderburk Mauldin, age 79, passed away on May 28, 2018 in Hickory. He was previously a long-time resident of Harrisburg.
Mack was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Grady Lee and Minnie Funderburk Mauldin, his special aunt, Madge Waller, and grandparents, Curtis and Annie Gibson Funderburk and Albert and Carrie Cauble Mauldin.
He was born February 21, 1939 in the Cedar Hill Community of Anson County and enjoyed a wonderful childhood filled with church, fishing, hunting, farm work, wonderful friends and a loving family.
He was a 1957 graduate of Ansonville High School and 1960 graduate of Carolina Business College in Charlotte. Eighteen years of his career were spent as Computer Operations Supervisor with Johnson Motor Lines followed by 32 years as Computer Operations Manager with Crowder Construction of Charlotte. Mack also served proudly with the NC Air National Guard.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Mauldin Morton, and brother-in-law, Archie Morton, of Hudson, NC as well as loyal and loving friends.
Receiving of friends will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Cedar Hill United Methodist Church, 11315 Pinkston River Road, Wadesboro, NC. A memorial service will follow at noon with Rev. Robert Burr officiating. Interment will be at nearby Concord Cemetery with Rev. Robert Burr officiating.
