Crossroads Connection has been connecting neighbors and building community through education, food, healthy living and relationships in northern Stanly County for the past four years.
As schools went virtual in March 2020, Crossroads Connection collaborated with Richfield Elementary School, North Stanly Middle School and local churches to ask the question, “How do we best serve local students now?”
The partners developed and carried out a Blessing Box ministry, Reading Ranger-Life Changers program and, as a new school year began in August 2020, restarted the Backpack Buddy program.
Through partnerships with community businesses, local churches, Pfeiffer University students and community neighbors, Crossroads Connection was able to impact more than 250 students and 30 families in 2020.
