Stanly County Arts Council will host the Celebration of the Arts from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Stanly County Agri-Civic Center. A schedule of events is as follows: • 9:15-9:30 a.m.: All County High School Jazz Band Auditorium — Albemarle, South and West Stanly high schools; • 9:45 a.m. — Lauren & Lane — Lobby; • 10:15-10:30 a.m.: Stanly County Chorale — Auditorium; • 10:35-10:50 a.m.: Gospel Choir of Pfeiffer University — Auditorium; • 10:55-11:10 a.m.: West Stanly Players — Lobby; • 11:15-11:25 a.m.: New Attitude Performing Arts Center, Locust — Auditorium; • 11:30-11:40 a.m.: Albemarle Academy of Dance — Solo showcase by members of the Show-Offs — Auditorium; • 11:45 a.m.-12 p.m. Will Phillips and Reagan Crump, Music on Main — Lobby; • 12:15-12:25 p.m.: North Stanly High School Concert Band — Auditorium; • 12:30-12:45 p.m.: Stanly County Concert Band — Auditorium; • 12:45-1 p.m.: Oakboro School of Music — Lobby; • 1:15-1:30 p.m.: Talent Company preview of “Bye, Bye Birdie” — Auditorium; • 2-2:30 p.m. Awards Ceremony — Auditorium. This will include RAPG recipients Susan Lackey and Rodney Rock, as well as naming the Fine Arts Educator of the Year and Arts Person of the Year.
