Stanly County Chamber of Commerce honors board member

During the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Executive Board meeting on Tuesday, Stanly County Family YMCA Executive Director George Crooker was presented with an appreciation award for his years serving as the Chamber’s board chairman.
The award was presented by 2021 Board Chairman Dr. John Enamait, president of Stanly Community College.
Enamait shared the many different volunteer roles Crooker has served with the the Chamber, including Leadership Stanly Graduate 2014, Leadership Steering Committee 2015 and 2016 and Chamber Leadership Board Chairman-Elect 2017 and 2018. He now serves on the board as an at-large member.
“We appreciate you, George Crooker, and thank you for your many, many hours of volunteering with the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce,” Chamber President and CEO Sandy Selvy-Mullis said.
