The North Stanly Comets women’s basketball team made it three wins in a row for the first time in three seasons tonight with a 60-24 Yadkin Valley Conference road win at North Moore.

Lexi Goode led the Comets (4-2, 3-1 YVC) with 22 points while Mary Beth ? added 13 points. Paris Bennett just missed double figures finishing with eight points for the Comets.

North Stanly outscored North Moore (0-4, 0-3) in every quarter but dominated in the first half, leading 34-5 by the break. The Mustangs went six minutes in the first quarter before scoring from the field, then did not score again until a three-pointer made late in the first half.

The Comets are off until Friday when the team travels to Uwharrie Charter to face the Eagles in a conference game.
