Hazel Cordina Lovingood Whitley, 74, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Whitley was born April 16, 1944 to the late Cordin Lovingood and Levy Rice. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Lovingood.

The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home – Albemarle. The funeral service was on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro, officiated by Chip Lovingood. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Survivors include: husband, Terrell Whitley; daughter, Cindy Wolfe and husband Gary; son, Tom Vanderford and wife Lynn; Terrell’s daughters, Cynthia Whitley, Marilyn Whitley; grandsons, Matthew Harrell, Trey Wolfe, Christian Vanderford; granddaughter, Carol Seeds; great-grandchildren, William, Kali, sister-in-law, Pat Reilly and beloved nieces and nephew.
