Players to have auditions for ‘Cinderella

Uwharrie Players will soon be holding auditions for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.”
Originally written as a television special, starring Julie Andrews, composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist-dramatist Oscar Hammerstein brought “Cinderella” to life on stage. Characters such as the wicked stepsisters, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother and songs like “In My Own Little Corner” and “Impossible” make “Cinderella” a magical experience.
Uwharrie Players seeks on and off stage roles for all ages. Auditions will 3-5 p.m. May 20 and 7-9 p.m. May 21, with callbacks at 7 p.m. May 22.
The Uwharrie Players clubhouse is at 546 East Main St., Albemarle. Show dates are July 27-Aug 5.
