Kathryn Kimery Lowder

Kathryn Kimery Lowder, 83, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 15, 2018, in Novant Health Rowan, Salisbury, NC. Her graveside service was held on a sunny after- noon with family and friends at Stanly Garden of Memory at 3 PM on April 19, 2018, with Rev. Joe Smith officiating and vocalist John Thompson.
Kathryn was born July
4, 1934 in Stanly County, NC and was the daughter of the late Bill and Clete Haynes. She formerly worked in the Stanly County Tax Office. Also, she had worked in Real Estate and was a manager at the Albemarle Walmart. Mrs. Lowder was a member of First Street United Methodist Church. She was active in her community and she truly enjoyed spend- ing time at the lake or anywhere with her family. Kathryn enjoyed crafts of all sorts.
Mrs. Lowder was preceded in death by her husband Paul M. Low- der, Sr. on August 2, 2007. She is survived by her son Paul M. Lowder, Jr. of Albemarle, NC; a daughter Kelly Miller which disassociated from
her mother in 2011. Her status and whereabouts are unknown. Also she was survived by a sister and brother in law, Evelyn and Clayton Mauldin and family of New Lon- don, NC; she’s survived by her brother in law, Dwight Smith and family and a very, very special friend Norma Murray whom brought love, comfort, and laughter to Kathryn in her hardest and toughest moments. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Robin Nichole Lowder and a sister Bobbie Smith.
Despite her health issues Kathryn continued to keep her faith, have a great attitude and a smile for everyone.
