Community Announcements

There will be a community food giveaway from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Resurrection Community Church, 1325 E. Main St. This is a drive-thru event at the rear of the building sponsored by the South Albemarle Ministerial Alliance.

With the start of school just around the corner, getting school supplies to our children is of utmost importance. There are two giveaways coming up.

At 12 p.m. Sunday, The Black Suit Society will sponsor a Back to School Drive Thru at 1718 E. Main St., Albemarle.

On Aug. 20, there will be a Back to School Drive Thru Celebration at the E.E. Waddell Center parking lot from 5:30-7 p.m. There will be school supplies, entertainment and lots of fun.
