For years U.S. Highway 52 has flooded with nothing being done to end the problem.
I guess it’s more important to have sidewalks near Walmart and roads paved that didn’t really need it nearly as bad as Main Street from the Square to Highway 52 or Highway 52 near Gold’s Gym.
It seems taxes are paid for things that are not immediate needs. The companies and stores along Highway 52 deserve better and so do the citizens of Stanly County.
Waste of unnecessary spending on beautification of the Walmart area in town was not an immediate need such as what we see continuing to occur on Highway 52.
Our county is failing these businesses along Highway 52.
They help generate funds for our county, too.
