The City of Albemarle (COA) continues to monitor the events and guidance related to coronavirus COVID-19.

As this situation continues, COA has decided to make changes to mitigate the risk of community spread.

Effective for the 2020 summer pool season, Chuck Morehead and Rock Creek pools will remain closed.

“As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel it is in the best interest of our community and staff to keep pools closed for the 2020 season,” said Lisa Kiser, director of parks and recreation. “This was a difficult decision to make; however, we feel this is the best decision in the interest of public health and safety.”
