Special services planned
East Albemarle Church of God, 1110 E. Main St., will have special services at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday with the Rev. Matthew Gunter.

There will be special singing each service.

Pancake Dinner

Christ Episcopal Church, 428 Pee Dee Ave., Albemarle, will have its free Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Gospel group to perform

Grace Baptist Church, 644 Edgemont St., Albemarle, will host the Southern gospel singing group Brian Free and Assurance at 6 p.m. Friday.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

Church to have supper

Love’s Grove UMC, 4360 Polk Ford Road, Stanfield, will have a dumpling supper 4-7 p.m. Saturday.

The meal includes homemade chicken and dumplings, green beans, slaw, roll and homemade desserts.

Eat-in or take-out.
