The West Stanly men’s basketball team opened the 2020 Rocky River Conference tournament Tuesday night with a 66-20 home win over No. 6-seed Central Academy.

Austin Medlin led three in double figures for the Colts with 20 points. Tayshaun Haygood added 14 points for West, while Ethan Conner scored 13.

West (15-10) will take on No. 2 Anson County (10-12) tonight at 8:30 at Pfeiffer University. The Bearcats won both regular-season matchups with the Colts, winning at home 63-62, then posting a 58-56 win Feb. 11 at West.

On the women’s side, the Colts are the No. 2 seed and will play at 7 tonight against No. 6 Montgomery Central (5-10).
