The Stanly County Senior Center recently had a dedication for a renovated classroom which was made possible by a thoughtful donation from Tom and Jean Rabe.

Originally this room was part of the Armory bay area and was used as a garage for the Armory tanks and trucks.

Later it was modified and was used as a kitchen to feed the soldiers. Care was taken in renovating it into a classroom to keep the room as original as possible while keeping its character and history as part of the old Armory.

This beautiful classroom will be used for many Senior Center events, activities, classes, programs and meetings.

It will be enjoyed by many people for many years to come.

Thank you, Tom and Jean Rabe, for your gift which is leaving a legacy for those coming to the Senior Center now and in the future.
