The Albemarle Police Department is still looking for the suspect responsible for killing 17-year-old Joseph Marcell Desouza.
“We’ve narrowed it down to a few people we want to question,” said Albemarle Police Chief David Dulin.
Desouza was shot on Inger St. Jun. 22. At the scene, officers found Desouza on the floor with blood around his abdomen area. Police say he was unconscious, with no pulse. EMS and fire personnel arrived shortly after but were unable to revive Desouza.
Desouza was scheduled to graduate from the Stanly County DASH program last Tuesday.
