Stanly Chamber hosts 2018 golf classic

Cody McKenzie won the Closest to the Pin award for the Chamber tournament, with a distance of 3 feet, 3 inches on Hole No. 3.
The gross winning team consisted of Kyle Marks, Todd Pegram and Brett Speight along with Jody Cook (not pictured).
The net score winning team was Chris Turner, left, Brian Baucom, Chad Whitley and Dana Maness.
Piney Point Golf Club in Norwood played host recently to the 2018 Stanly County Chamber of Commerce golf tournament.
The gross winners of the tournament were the First Citizens Bank team of Kyle Marks, Todd Pegram, Brett Speight and Jody Cook with a low round of 54.
First Citizens Bank’s team of Dana Maness, Chad Whitley, Brian Baucom and Chris Turner won the net event with a low score of 54. Baucom also won the Longest Drive competition.

“Dave Vandeventer, Piney Point Golf Club Pro, makes hosting a tournament at their club a seamless process. I extend a personal thank you to Dave for all that he does to go above and beyond for our Chamber and Stanly County community.”
Almond also said “ambassadors, board members and volunteers make it possible for SCCoC to carry out such a fun and successful tournament each year. My gratitude to those who give of their time and talents on behalf of the Chamber.”
