The Gray Stone women’s soccer team opened the 2019 season with a 9-0 win over North Moore in a Yadkin Valley Conference matchup.

Anna-Grace Sumner led the Knights with three goals and one assist, while Peyton Disser added two goals and two assists. Cyan Vang, Morgan Trexler, Millie Roberts and Caroline Garner each scored goals for Gray Stone.

Katie Leckonby earned the shutout in goal for the Knights.

Gray Stone led 3-0 at halftime and scored six times in the second half to invoke the nine-goal rule.
