Enjoy free live music and food this Friday as Food Truck Fridays returns to Albemarle. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at City Lake Park at 815 Concord Road.
Following a successful kickoff in April that drew nearly 2,500 attendees, the excitement continues May 2 with live music from The Phoebes. This rising rock and blues band, known for its soulful vocals and high-energy performances, is sure to deliver a memorable show.
“We loved seeing such an incredible crowd as we kicked off the Food Truck Friday season. City Lake Park has become the place to be each month for the best party on a Friday night,” said Lisa Kiser, Albemarle Parks and Recreation director.
Food Truck Fridays are held on the first Friday of each month from April through October, with the exception of July, when the event will take place on the second Friday. Each event features a wide variety of food trucks offering something for everyone, including barbecue, tacos, soul food, seafood, Asian cuisine, and desserts.
Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for an evening of great food and live entertainment under the stars. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or lawn chair to relax and enjoy the music.
