Do we still have hope?
We have a Good Friday article that is strangely absent the name of Jesus, but purports to be in remembrance of “Holy Week.” Instead, it regurgitates current complaints of the Left. Perhaps it is a new movement: “Holy Woke.”
First, this season is when believers in Jesus remember the sacrifice of our Savior. Jesus lived His life and did His ministry, but now the time had come for the fulfillment of His ultimate purpose. Jesus was to take the sins of mankind upon Himself, suffer them, carry them and be crucified for them. That He did.
Beginning with the betrayal of a friend, Jesus’ bounty was a mere 30 pieces of silver. Jesus was arrested and brought to trial, false witnesses swore to the lies as Jesus was humiliated, mocked, assaulted and falsely convicted. The Son of God was paraded around in mock clothing of a king. The Roman authority found Jesus had committed no cry, but the people screamed in the street, “Crucify Him!” Jesus understood injustice.
He was quickly scourged by Roman soldiers, ripping His back to shreds. The prophet Isaiah recounts about a thousand years earlier that the stripes He received would bring healing. Isaiah reveals the work of Jesus during this time in chapter 53. The punishment of us all landed on Him.
Nailed to the cross, Jesus completed the work, and He gave up His life. A dark time covered the earth and people did not understand. Were they wrong? Did they lose? How could this traumatic horror happen? Jesus sowed the seed of His death we remember this Good Friday. Good?
Good because what sprouted was life. On the third day, Easter Sunday, death was forever conquered for all who believe. Jesus rose from the dead. Hundreds of witnesses, historical accounts, and especially the New Testament of the Bible testify to the resurrection of the most famous person in history.
The Resurrection of Jesus gives us an amazing gift of Grace: People will not have to bear their sins; they were born by the Savior. People can lay hold of life, forever, thanks to the work of Jesus.
Did Jesus die so that illegal immigrants could flood America and not be able to remove? Did Jesus die so that the Left could illegally import voters and fundamentally change the country by bypassing actual Americans? Did He die so that billions of dollars of weapons could be added to the black market via Ukraine? Get out of here with the woke nonsense.
Jesus died so that all could be free from the sin that once separated them from God.
