Teresa “Trish” Rush Barbee, 74, of Locust, NC passed away peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord, after a courageous eighteen month battle with ALS.
Trish was born August 4, 1943 in Concord, NC to the late Lacy Walton Rush and the late Carra Paige Simpson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Billy Lee Barbee in 2012.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Morton and husband Doug; grandson Zack Morton and wife Megan; grandson Garrett Morton; great-grandson Isaac Morton; sister Madge Tucker; brother Wayne Rush; brother-in-law Bobby Barbee; and very special sister-in-law Peggy Little; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday, June 18, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Oakboro, with a 30 minute state, officiated by Pastor Trent Drye. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church Cemetery at 4720 Garmon Mill Road in Midland.
