Stanly County Consolidated Human Services Board has established a new annual awards recognition for employee, supervisor and community partner of the year.
The CHS Board wants to recognize social services and public health employees as well as community partners who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in areas of disease prevention, promotion of healthy lifestyles and self-sufficiency, provision of quality health and social services, and the protection of the environment as well as children and disabled adults.
As such, the CHS Board has established board awards to recognize the contributions of staff and community partners who work with the staff to meet the needs of community members.
The CHS Board Award Committee reviewed the nominations and selected the recipients. They were announced during the April 3 CHS Board meeting.
Selected as Employee of the Year for 2024-2025 was Madeline Burrell, Adult Services Community Alternatives program case manager for Stanly County Department of Social Services.
Selected as Supervisor of the Year for 2024-2025 was Kathy Lefloch, foster care supervisor and CPS and APS on-call supervisor for Stanly County Department of Social Services.
Selected as Community Partner of the Year for 2024-2025 was George Wilson with Badges and Boxes.
