Stanly Community College will offer a Practical Welding course, designed to equip individuals with essential entry-level trade knowledge and technical skills in welding.
The course, taught by Chris Cesaro, runs from May 19 through July 15, totaling 68 hours of hands-on training.
Classes will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5-9 p.m. on the Albemarle campus. The cost for the course is $280.50.
Students must provide their own personal protective equipment, including a welding helmet, gauntlet welding gloves, Z87 safety glasses, leather high-top boots/shoes, welding jacket or long-sleeved denim shirt with welding sleeves.
The Practical Welding course provides students with fundamental theory, practical application and a working knowledge of welding processes, preparing them for entry-level positions in metalworking, welding and fabrication industries.
