The Stanly County Historical Society will host U.S. Army Lt. Col. Paula Trivette (Ret.), who will share her story “Through the Eyes of a White House Nurse.”
Trivette served in the White House from 1987 to 1993, providing primary care to Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton and their families.
She is the wife of Albemarle native William S. (Bill) Trivette.
She will share highlights from her career as an Army nurse and her path to the White House.
Following her time in the White House, the Trivettes moved to Greensboro, where she continued in the medical field. Since retiring, she fills her days with volunteer work.
The program will be held at 2 p.m. April 6 in the Fellowship Center of Central United Methodist Church, 172 N. Second St., Albemarle.
The program is free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged. Go to the Historical Society’s website at http://www.historicstanly.org and select the event registration tab. Click submit after completing the online registration.
