Stanly County youth participate in Mini Medley Relay

Local youth hit the pavement March 15 in Albemarle Parks & Recreation’s 46th Annual Mini Medley.
All elementary schools, Heritage Classical Academy, Albemarle Middle School, Oakboro STEM Choice Middle School, West Stanly Middle School and Gray Stone Day Middle School participated, totaling 450 total runners across three events.

In the middle school division, West Stanly finished first with a time of 57 minutes 39 seconds. Gray Stone and Oakboro finished second and third, respectively.
In the elementary division, Locust finished first in one hour, three minutes and eight seconds, with Stanfield closely behind 19 seconds later. Endy finished third.
