Although I seldom agree with his positions and often consider the columns a regurgitation of statistics available publicly elsewhere, criticism of Republican politicians’ workings by the John Locke Foundation’s John Hood is rare.
One has to read beyond the headline about “weather” to see that even the more conservative thinkers among us are scratching their heads and beginning to criticize what is happening in the second Trump administration.
As a traditionally left of center Independent registered voter it becomes ever clearer that voting for any Republican in future elections would be as close to jumping off a cliff as is possible.
Even the Honorable Thom Tillis, U.S. senator for NC, is having difficulty going along with the weirdness happening in the Capitol.
Sadly, all of us can agree with both Hood and Tillis in finding this will most likely be harmful to NC constituents.
I, as an independent voice and voter, will go one step farther and state the larger problem, as many of us see it, is that this will most likely be harmful to our nation as a whole.
