Stanly County 4-H is excited to announce that the 2025 Spring Plant Sale is happening now.
This fundraiser helps 4-H provide fun, life-changing experiences for local kids. All the money raised stays right here in Stanly County.
4-H is part of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, a program for kids ages 5 to 18 years old that teaches them new skills, helps them grow their confidence, and gives them the chance to become leaders. Young people can join 4-H at no charge by enrolling at 4HOnline.com or contacting the Cooperative Extension Office at the number listed below.
Order deadline is Feb. 20, with pickup times of 3-5 p.m. March 5 and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 6 at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, Albemarle.
This year, 4-H will offer a variety of plants including blueberries, muscadines, figs and blackberries and several types of fruit trees like apple, peach, pear, plum and pecan.
To order, contact Lisa Forrest at lisa-forrest@ncsu.edu or 704-983-3987.
