In unofficial results for Oakboro Town Board, Joey Carpenter and Fred Smith were selected first and second with 682 votes (28.91%) and 510 (21.62%), respectively.
Finishing third was Lisa Cratty with 451 votes (19.12%), followed by Renee Goodman Watkins with 400 (16.96%) and Lanny Hathcock with 285 (12.08%).
There were 31 write-in votes (1.31%).
